Stop Smoking Weed-
Reaching the decision to stop smoking weed is quite the journey for those that are willing to take it. Some people will find this to be quite simple to do, while others will find it to be extremely difficult.
I read something and I think is great advice " IT IS SAID, THAT WE HAVE TO STOP TRYING TO STOP WHAT IT IS WE DON'T WANT TO BE DOING AND BEGIN DOING WHAT IT IS WE WANT TO BE DOING."
Marijuana addiction is linked to behavioral addictions such as gambling or sex addictions. The bind between these is that they give a "high of sorts" which stimulate your minds reward censors, that by stimulating them convinces your subcontious that you are doing something pleasurable and good. If you've been at it for awhile your brain craves this stimulation constantly.
Myths and Facts of Stop Smoking Weed
When smoking marijuana or rather deciding to stop smoking marijuana, one needs to be armed with some facts. We are bombarded with all sorts of information about marijuana, and most is coming from two very determined groups, the supporters of legalization of marijuana and the war on drugs supporters.
"Marijuana is not addictive at all, and if you think you are hooked on weed then you are just weak willed"
This is the biggest crop of $#%@ that I've ever heard. This statement comes from medical facts, and that is that marijuana contains no physically dependent chemicals. For this statement to be true, then there must no way that people can be addicted to gambling, sex addiction, internet addiction and the list goes on. These are well documented addictions, that governments spend millions of dollars every year trying to help people with these addictions.
"Marijuana makes you stupid and lazy"
This statement is one that has been blown out of proportion. Marijuana doesn't have that much influence over the body and mind. People choose to be lazy, and if and when they do decide to put effort into something they can come as stupid. The pot smoking culture is more to blame for this than weed itself. Social and cultural habits have much more to do with how someone forms good and bad behaviors. Smoking weed does, however cause memory deficiencies and can affect problem solving skills, but this is temporary and can't take control over a person.
"Marijuana is a harmless drug"
Marijuana is certainly a soft drug and is very comparable with alcohol which is perfectly legal if you are of age, this sentence is used as an argument that it should be legal and is perfectly safe. Don't forget that people have a disease called alcoholism, we have people that get drunk and do dangerous things that have serious consequences.
If you are ready to stop smoking weed you need to prepare yourself with the proper tools to be successful. You are going to need will power. You must also truly understand your addiction. You have to have a plan of what to do if problems arise when you stop smoking weed. You will also need a good support group to be able to help you be strong when you are having a bad day.
There is a system that I have recently encountered that I highly recommend for anyone looking for a complete system to follow for kicking the habit for good.
This is a system that is instantly downloadable and was written by a man who was like you addicted to weed and manged to overcome his demons and quit for good. He has put together all his insights, wisdom and even more importantly his step by step system he used to wean himself off weed.
